Protecting Bridges and Highways
Chase Corporation Bridge and Highway Materials consists of three product lines: Rosphalt Polymer Additives for Asphalt, Royston Waterproofing Sheet membranes and Ceva Expansion Joints. All products are manufactured by Chase Corporation in our Pittsburgh manufacturing locations and are compliant with the Build America, Buy America Act ("BABA"). Pub. L. Rosphalt Asphalt Additives
Rosphalt® is a dry black polymer additive that is added to the asphalt mix at the asphalt plant. When combined with the heated aggregate and liquid asphalt, the result is a highly polymer-modified asphalt mix that will create a waterproof, rut and crack resistant wearing course that will also provide excellent resistance to flexural fatigue.
Royston Sheet Membranes
Royston® Sheet Membranes are manufactured using prefabricated reinforced laminates consisting of impregnated fiberglass, and a high strength inner core sandwiched between two layers of polymer modified bitumen adhesive. The reinforced rubberized bitumen-based membranes provide excellent tensile strength and puncture resistance.
Ceva Expansion Joint Systems
Ceva expansion joints are pre-formed, closed cell, low-density, cross-linked EVA/PE (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate-Polyethylene) foam joint seal. The material is typically used as an expansion joint seal or as a gasket material in bridge decks, commercial building, parking decks, water treatment facilities and other industrial and architectural applications. Phyzite 380™ contains a Hindered Amine Light Stabilizer (UV inhibitor) which provides increased performance when exposed to UV light that other foam products containing carbon black.
