A closed-cell foam expansion joint that is resistant to numerous chemicals and has an operating temperature range from -94°F to 212°F.
Overview
Metazeal is a pre-formed, closed cell, low-density, cross-linked EVA/PE (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate-Polyethylene) foam joint seal that will expand and contract with the movement of the structure. The material is typically used as an expansion joint seal or as a gasket material in bridge decks, commercial building, parking decks, water treatment facilities and other industrial applications. Metazeal is resistant to numerous chemicals. This material has a higher maximum operating temperature (212° F) when compared to our other closed-cell foam joint seals. This makes Metazeal ideal for applications in high in-service temperatures such as industrial tanks and facilities. Also, when installed as part of a CEVA® Joint Systems, the material acts as a water tight seismic expansion joint seal. Additional features include applications in hydrostatic environments.
